Downsize or Bust :)

Today is the final day in April.  Tomorrow I begin a two month odyssey at work; the culmination of eleven months of the hardest work of my life.  Somewhere in there I also need to help pull off our family reunion, study and take a huge test, downsize my life (spread across two cities), watch one of my babies graduate high school, keep my team at work enthusiastic and sane, find healing for a growing wound, board meetings, on and on,...and do it all with a big, giant, enthusiastic, genuine smile. :)

I'm exhausted and May 1st isn't even here yet.

I am not sure there is enough Calgon to "take me away"...

I love my life.  There are times...days, months...that my life exhausts me.  I am entering one of those periods.  It got me to thinking...

What are all of us running from?

Let that sink in.

This isn't simply about learning to say, "No.".

If I keep myself busy enough, then I won't have to deal with "x".  Isn't that closer to the truth than "I can't help that I am SO busy."?  That is what I thought.

I am committed to surviving the next two months...enthusiastically. :)))  I am also committed that by the end of the next two months, I will either have my life downsized, or be executing a plan to do so.  It is time for this Superwoman to donate her cape to charity.  God is closing and opening doors in every area of my life, and I have two choices...cry over spilled milk or rejoice in the possibilities.  I cannot control anyone but myself.  Neither can you.  People make choices that impact our lives every day.  Every.  Day.  You can let those choices define you, or you can let God define you.  I am putting my faith in the latter.

Predestination or Free will?

Isn't that the age-old question?

Life is about choices.

What choices are you not making because you are "so busy"?  Life is passing you by.  Are you going to be a participant or an observer?

Yesterday at church, Jr reminded me of something I did not want to be reminded of...he is a corker that way.  :)

It is going to storm big time today.  Nature is our reminder that sometimes you need the storms in order to reap the full benefit of the sunshine.  Read into that all that you wish...

Lord willing, this sunshine intends to be even brighter two months from now...I'd recommend we all start looking for new shades. :)))

*Here is hoping and praying that you will take the time to make the hard choices that have been sitting on a shelf, collecting dust, in your life.  This life is not for the faint of heart.  Be brave.  Be bold.  You will be so glad you did. :)

Sunshine Dreams to You ~ Today and Every Day! :)
