Are You Sabotaging Yourself?

The question of the week, in my little world of coaching people, must be "Are you sabotaging yourself?"

Stop.  Grab another cup of coffee...:)

I don't know if the question really is are you, as much as why are you?  We all do it at some point in our lives, and some people do it so much they wear it almost like a badge of honor.

Man or woman.  Young or old.  Blue collar or white collar.  Saint or sinner.

No matter who or what you are, I would bet a paycheck (gross not net) that you are (on par) harder on yourself than any man/woman, child, boss, employee, pastor, or stranger ever thought about being on you.

Why are you sabotaging yourself?

I wish I could simply say, "Stop it!"  I wish I could squeeze you, drop kick you, and then squeeze you again.  Unfortunately, there is only so much people can do to help you. The bulk of the work must be done by you, and it begins with you believing that YOU are worthy.

Did you hear that?

Y*O*U are worthy.

If you are struggling with this, your head is spinning right about now...so I am going to pause and bring this topic up again soon with a next step.  This first step, for those who don't believe this for themselves, is the hardest part of the process to unwind yourself from sabotaging yourself...at every turn, and in every part of your life.

Meditate on this...YOU are worthy...for as long as it takes for you to believe it.

"Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong.  There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right.  To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Make the plan; work the plan. :)

You are worthy.  Believe it.
