What a day! We have had a full day of driving broken up by a great stop at the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest National Park. It was beautiful!! We discovered that Leon and Treva are obsessed with tumbleweeds. :)
Louie would be so proud of us...we resisted all temptations...and he knows what I am talking about. :)
It is amazing to observe Leon take all of this in, and his vocabulary has expanded too. The concentrated time with Treva is priceless. Of course we are doing words of the day, and he has his own journal to write in. He is really having a big time. :)
The weather has been amazing and we are so grateful. We all have dry faces and dry lips with all of the dry wind and now high altitude. We have plenty of goodies as Dr. Treva takes care of us all. :)
It is only day three, but I am already sad when I think of the end of our trip creeping up too fast. I am very aware of how precious this time together is...
