Cabin Fever ~ Snow Dance Party Anyone? :)

First an apology.  I'm sorry for this one even before I start writing...:)

I have been working (and snowed/iced in) down in the hollow for now the fifth day.  It is 8:30 p.m. on Friday night and it has been snowing since approximately 10 a.m. this morning.  It is STILL snowing.  I have worked.  I have cooked.  I have watched a movie.  I have played around on Facebook.  I have cleaned my desk.  I have paid my bills.  I have unloaded the dishwasher.  I have fed the pups ~ twice.  I have fed the birds ~ three times.  I have talked to my Granny.  I have talked to Treva.  I have talked to Wesley.  I have talked to my friends.  I have talked to my baby sister.  I have made and drunk hot chocolate ~ twice. I have watched the radar...since 6 a.m. (now that sounds like Louie).  I absolutely refuse to do laundry.  Even I have my limits of desperation for something to do. :)

Ma Ma's Homemade Hot Chocolate Recipe! Yum!! :)

I have cabin fever.  My name is Heather, and I have cabin fever.  That is the first step, right??

Homemade Sausage Balls! Yum!!! :)
Well, true boredom is setting in because I thought I would try my hand at writing a mini movie review.  Oh good grief.  Well, it begins with a funny story about...cabin fever. :)

Wesley brings me a package last night that was delivered for me to The Farm.  Due to weather, I haven't seen him (or anybody) in a couple of days.  So, I am jumping up and down (quite literally) when he knocks on the door.  He is on his cell phone but whips a package out from behind his back.  I screamed, "My movies!"  (Sigh...I am so embarrassing to myself and others.)  I start doing my jig of joy dance...literally dancing around the room pump fisting the box into the air above my head.  About this time, I hear Wesley say, "Yes...she is excited...I believe she has a touch of cabin fever."  "A touch"??  I boldly exclaimed, "Duh!" with rolling laughter.

The rest of that story is that I had ordered the movie "Eat Pray Love" the first week of January after I started reading the book.  It seems that I did not read the shipping fine print at Amazon.com and they were holding it to ship with another movie I had pre-ordered and was not being released until March.  I quickly got the order changed, but while I was on the site I saw three more movies...all $9 or less...so I ordered them too.  They were supposed to be in this weekend, but thank goodness they arrived early...and Wesley made a personal delivery.

Now in light of more snow (today and tonight) and more snow early Sunday (through possibly Thursday), those movies might be the only thing that keeps me from losing my mind this weekend...Again.

Well, I watched "Eat Pray Love" and for those of you who have not seen the movie or read the book, I seriously advise reading the book first.  The movie is wonderful, and I loved both the theatrical version and the director's cut.  Of course, because I had read the book, I enjoyed the director's cut more as it had more of the book in there.  Frankly, how can you really get a book so complicated from emotions to countries to character changes in two hours?  Very difficult.

Well that is it.  I guess a career in writing movie reviews is out of the question. :)

My gosh, I just looked out the window and I swear it has started snowing even harder.  I bet we get 4" down here!  I digress.  Sorry.

Caney Cave Hollow @ 3 p.m.

Well, I may be losing it, but today I am so glad for such funny friends and family that have kept me rolling in laughter as I literally watched myself get snowed in again by mother nature.  I am so glad that of all of the places I could be stranded, I am here.  I am so glad for early delivery by Amazon.com.  I have so glad for pages and pages of to dos which ensure that I will not be bored, no matter how long the snow lasts.

Caney Cave Hollow @ 5 p.m.
I hope that you are enjoying your snow day.  I have to say this, no one ~ absolutely no one ~ is enjoying this snow day as much as my friend Jeff Matthew's kids.  They are having a "Snow Night Dance Party".  My wish for you is to enjoy today...every day...as much as this....Snow Dance Party
